FC BARCELONA masterclass at Camp Nou

FC Barcelona fans would be anything but fully content with their team's performance against Girona FC at home , thrashing the visitors 6-1 . Ironically , Girona took the lead in the 3rd minute of the game with a clean finish past Ter Stegen . But El Pistolero(Suarez) was quick to respond , scoring in the next minute through a brilliant ball by Leo Messi .

For the first time , Coutinho and Dembele started together . Coutinho impressed with a solid performance , and looks to be gelling with the team pretty well , assisting Suarez with his second goal . Coutinho also managed to score a wonder goal from outside the box , curling it around the keeper . Dembele on the other hand , struggled a bit in the 1st half , but looked much better in the second half , grabbing an assist for Luis Suarez who took the match-ball home .

The performer of the night , with a brace and an assist to his name , was Lionel Messi .

He looked as good as he has been , and certainly as the greatest of all time .

Unstoppable , creative , sharp and dangerous as always .

All over , the team performance was solid in attack as Valverde looked to play a strong attacking side against a considerably weaker side . Much of this is what fans would want in the potential title deciding tie against Atletico at home , and later against Chelsea in the Champions League .
